Metro extension – further Broad Street diversions from Monday 2nd September 2019

Due to ongoing Metro extension works taking place, Broad Street buses will have another diversion in place from Monday 2nd September, as more of this road is closed off to traffic.

The following services will have an altered diversion route:

9 – Birmingham – Stourbridge

10 / 10H – Birmingham – Quinton

12 / 12A – Birmingham – Dudley

13 – Birmingham – Oldbury

13A – Birmingham – Blackheath

126 – Birmingham – Dudley

X8 – Birmingham – Wolverhampton

X10 – Birmingham – Gornal Wood 

Towards city:

From Five Ways island, buses will continue onto Broad Street, but will turn left into Ryland Street, then right into Grosvenor Street West, before turning left onto Sheepcote Street to rejoin the present diversionary route.

From city:

Buses will follow the current diversionary route to Sheepcote Street, but will turn right into Grosvenor Street West, continuing onto Friston Avenue, then turning left onto Ladywood Middleway to rejoin the normal route from Five Ways island. (Service 10H will turn right from Friston Avenue onto Ladywood Middleway to resume normal route)

23 – Birmingham – Bartley Green

24 – Birmingham – Woodgate Valley North 

Towards city, these services will follow their normal line of route, but will follow the above diversion on journeys out of city.
