(Cancelled) Digbeth Diversions – St Patricks Day Parade – Sunday 15th March 2020

EDIT: The below can now be disregarded, as the parade has been postponed until later this year because ‘coronavirus’.


Due to the annual St Patricks Day parade and festivities around High Street Digbeth, there will be numerous road closures, with High Street Digbeth closed for the majority of the day. Other roads leading onto High Street Digbeth will also be closed for part of the day.

There will be significant route changes and stop alterations to normal route terminal points in Birmingham City Centre due to this event, between the hours of 6am and 4:30pm.

NXWM 2, 3, 4, 4a, 5, 6 Services
Routes – 
Services diverted TOWARDS City via Stratford Road, Camp Hill Circus, Bordesley Middleway, Watery Lane Middleway, Lawley Middleway, Jennens Road, Park Street, Masshouse Lane, Moor Street, Carrs Lane to normal terminal points.

Services diverted FROM City via Carrs Lane, High Street, Albert Street, Moor Street, Jennens Road, Lawley Middleway, Watery Lane Middleway, Bordesley Middleway, Camp Hill Circus, Stratford Road then normal lines of routes.

Stops
Will NOT serve any stops in High Street Digbeth, Moat Lane and Park Street. Nearest stops will be on Stratford Road before diversion route, or normal city centre terminal stops in Carrs Lane.


NXWM 16 Service

Route –
Service diverted TOWARDS City via Smallbrook Queensway, U-turn at Holloway Circus, Smallbrook Queensway and terminate at stop NS5.

Service diverted FROM City via Smallbrook Queensway, St Martins Circus then normal line of route.

Stops –
Will NOT serve any stops on Station Street, Edgbaston Street, Upper Dean Street and Park Street.
Nearest stop for markets area/Upper Dean Street will be stop NS5 on Smallbrook Queensway or MS3 on Moor Street Queensway.


NXWM 17 Service

Service diverted TOWARDS City via Bordesley Circus, Watery Lane Middleway, Garrison Circus, Lawley Middleway, Under Rail Bridge, Lawley Middleway, Jennens Road, Park Street, Masshouse Lane, Moor Street Queensway terminate on Moor Street Queensway MS9.

Service FROM City via normal line of route but services will start from stop MS9 on Moor Street Queensway.

NO stops served between Coventy Road/Bordesley Circus, High Street Digbeth, Moat Lane and Park Street.

Route – 
Service diverted TOWARDS City via Smallbrook Queensway, St Martins Tunnel, Moor Street Queensway, St Martins Tunnel and terminate at stop NS9 on Smallbrook Queensway.

Service FROM City will use normal line of route, after departing from stop NS9 on Smallbrook Queensway.

Stops –
NO stops served on Station Street and Upper Dean Street. City Centre terminal stop will be stop NS9 on Smallbrook Queensway.


NXWM 97 Service

Route –
Service diverted TOWARDS City via Garrison Lane, Garrison Circus, Lawley Middleway, Jennens Road, Park Street, Masshouse Lane, Moor Street Queensway, Carrs Lane, terminates at stop MS8 on Moor Street Queensway.

NO stops served before/after Great Barr Street, Heath Mill Lane, High Street Digbeth, Moat Lane, Park Street, Moor Street. Nearest stops out of city centre will be on Lawley Middleway, and city centre terminal stop will be MS8 on Moor Street Queensway.

NO stops served from Coventry Road/Bordesley Circus. Stops not served in High Street Digbeth, Moat Lane, Park Street, Moor Street. There will be a temporary stop on Lawley Middleway, and services will start/finish in Birmingham City Centre at the first shelter in Albert Street.
