Stay safe, plan ahead, keep moving

With further easing of Government lockdown restrictions coming from this Monday 17 May, we’ve pulled together some information to help you make the most of the increased leisure activities that will be available, including the reopening of museums, other cultural attractions and indoor dining.

A near-normal service continues across the public transport network and a wide range of active travel options are available, including the recently launched cycle hire scheme and e-scooter trial.

Think about travelling at different times and keeping active – cycling and walking should be your first choice for short journeys.

Here is a handy checklist to ensure you are ready to travel safely:

When travelling you should still keep your distance where possible and wear a face covering whilst onboard, unless you are exempt. Face coverings should cover your nose and mouth and must be worn for the duration of the journey and at stations and interchanges. Thank you to the millions of you who have been wearing a face covering, keeping you and others safe whilst you travel.

You will need to allow more time for your journey and plan ahead. Remember, you can pay for your travel using mobile, smartcard or contactless payments.

The West Midlands is Open for Business, and the network is ready to take you where you’re going.
