Black Country service changes – Sunday August 29th 2021

As previously reported here, as well as many services returning to normal timetables following the schools summer holiday period, there are going to be changes to some services in the Black Country area.

Full details can be found at the NX West Midlands website, some selected highlights I will list below.

Service 2 / 2A (Dudley to Merry Hill)

Service 2A will be withdrawn, service 2 extends to Wrens Nest, replacing revised 27, 27A and 81 in that area. Wallows Road will be covered by revised X10 service.

Service 8 / 8A (Walsall to Brownhills / Pelsall)

Service 8A will be withdrawn. Service 8 extends from Brownhills to Burntwood and Lichfield, replacing the 10A service which will be withdrawn.

Service 9 (Walsall to Bloxwich)

Extends from Bloxwich to Wolverhampton, replacing the 60 service which will be withdrawn.

Service 10 / 10A (Walsall to Brownhills / Lichfield)

Service 10A is withdrawn, all journeys will operate as service 10 between Walsall and Brownhills West only. Revised service 8 replaces the route between Brownhills and Lichfield.

Service 17 (Dudley to Stourbridge)

Service 17 is revised and no longer serves Stickley or Milking Bank, which will be covered by revised 27 / 27A services.

Service 27 / 27A (Wolverhampton to Dudley)

Route revised to serve Stickley and Milking Bank, replacing the revised 17 service. Also will no longer serve Wrens Nest, replaced by extended 2 service.

Service 60 (Wolverhampton to Bloxwich)

This service will be withdrawn, replaced by extended service 9.

Service 80A (Birmingham to West Bromwich)

Renumbered as service 80, no change to route.

Service X529 (Walsall to Wolverhampton)

Service will be withdrawn

Service X10 (Birmingham to Gornal Wood)

Route revised in Brierley Hill to cover Dudley Road and Wallows Road, replacing that part of the withdrawn 2A service.
