From Sunday 3rd March 2024, Sunday journeys on the 71 (Sutton Coldfield to Chelmsley Wood) service will no longer be operated by Solus Coaches.
As an interim measure, TfWM have awarded an emergency contract to Stagecoach to operate this service until Sunday 24th March, while a competitive tendering process takes place to find a new operator.
Due to the short-notice arrangement, the service will only operate between 8:20 and 17:20 as Stagecoach are unable to provide evening journeys.
A full Sunday service will be resumed from 31st March when the new successful operator takes over the contract.
There is no change to the Monday to Saturday service which will continue to be operated by National Express West Midlands.
UPDATE: Sunday contract has been awarded to NX West Midlands from Sunday 31st March.
