Notices have appeared inside NX West Midlands and Coventry buses advising passengers that the Hop tickets will no longer be available for purchase from 8th April 2024.
Hop tickets being withdrawn are:
- Short Hop
- Birmingham Uni Hop
- Birmingham City Centre Hop
- Coventry City Centre Hop
There’s no explanation given as to why these £1.50 tickets are being withdrawn, I would assume they just weren’t viable any more, and it further simplifies the fare structure, especially as other operators don’t offer such short hop fares – not that I’m aware of anyway!
Single fares will continue to be £2.00 until at least the end of 2024.
