Due to emergency sewer pipe replacement works being carried out in Sparkbrook, Stratford Road is closed in both directions at the junction of Erasmus Road until September 30th 2024.
As a result of this road closure, Stratford Road bus services 2, 3, 4, 4A, 5 and 6 are unable to serve Sparkbrook between Camp Hill island and the junction with Highgate Road near the ALDI supermarket.

3 – Birmingham to Yardley Wood
Between Ravenhurst Street (on Camp Hill) and Sparkhill Jobcentre (on Stoney Lane) stops, buses will divert via Highgate Middleway, Moseley Road (from city), Belgrave Middleway (to city) and Highgate Road, in both directions.
4 – Birmingham to Solihull Station
4A – Birmingham to Solihull / Gospel Oak
Between Ravenhurst Street (on Camp Hill) and St John’s Road (on Warwick Road) stops, buses will divert via Bordesley Middleway, Small Heath Highway and Golden Hillock Road, in both directions.
5 – Birmingham to Solihull
6 – Birmingham to Solihull
Between Ravenhurst Street (on Camp Hill) and Poplar Road (on Stratford Road) stops, buses will divert via Bordesley Middleway, Small Heath Highway, Golden Hillock Road and Walford Road, in both directions.
8A / 8C – Birmingham Inner Circle
No change to route, however delays can be expected due to diverted traffic.
Stops on diversion routes will be observed.
Closure was originally expected to end on 9th September, and has been pushed back several times, to 16th, then 23rd, and now 30th.

Still no sign of these works drawing to a close, now it appears according to the One.Network website that the road will continue to be closed until Tuesday 8th October, after which point there will be temporary traffic lights in place until 21st October.
