Well we’re almost a quarter of the way into 2025 and spring is finally here! So what’s in store for April? With the clocks going forward an hour early this morning, the evenings will be much lighter now. This month features Easter, which gives us two bank holidays on Good Friday and Easter Monday. But the end of the month sees some further timetable changes, with some services seeing a slight frequency reduction, as NX West Midlands tries to keep them commercially viable.
Easter Holiday 2025
From Monday 14th April to Saturday 26th April, due to reduced levels of traffic during the Easter school holiday period, a number of NX West Midlands services will run to amended timetables, more details here.
In addition, Good Friday (18th April) will generally see buses running to Saturday levels of service, and Easter Monday (21st April) will see buses operating to Sunday timetables.
Sunday 20th April
25A – Dudley to Kidderminster, via Merry Hill and Stourbridge
125 – Stourbridge to Bridgnorth, via Kidderminster
Diamond’s 125 service will be curtailed to operate between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth only, while the section between Stourbridge and Kidderminster will be replaced by an hourly extension of Diamond’s 25 service, numbered as 25A. I wrote about this change earlier this month, and more details can be found below:
Saturday 26th April

Monday to Saturday basic daytime frequency reduces to every 12 minutes.
Extra journeys will run from Sutton between 15:15 and 15:45 for school capacity and arriving in Sutton between 08:00 and 08:45.
One additional bus will be added during peak times to increase frequency from Sutton. At other times, the standard 12-minute frequency will apply.
