The vast majority of bus services in the West Midlands are operated commercially by private bus operators.
A number of ‘socially necessary’ bus services are operated under tendered contracts on behalf of Transport For West Midlands (TfWM), which is part of the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA).
Transport for West Midlands is solely responsible for providing timetable information and infrastructure, such as bus stations and shelters. TfWM nor WMCA directly operate any bus services in the region, so any complaints regarding bus services should in the first instance be directed to the bus operator in question.
