NX Bus previously announced that they intended to reduce the price of their tickets and passes following the ending of coronavirus lockdown restrictions in England. This was originally due to happen on 21st June 2021, but was temporarily shelved when the Government announced a delay.
It has today been confirmed that these price reductions will now come into effect from Monday 19th July 2021, when lockdown restrictions will finally be lifted in the UK.
Unlimited travel, everywhere for less than you pay now… it’s the new normal!
- Day Saver (Day ticket) now £4 to travel everywhere at any time
- 1 week & 4 week unlimited travel ticket prices slashed
- NEW 3 day and 7 day contactless capping introduced on the bus
- Black Country zone removed, giving freedom to travel anywhere for less than you pay now
- Most day and week tickets will now allow travel anywhere in Coventry AND the West Midlands
- Flexible travel fares reduced
- Monthly Direct Debit subscription price reduced to £50
- 18 & under – day, week, 4 week, monthly Direct Debit and future Term Plus prices all cut

It is also worth pointing out that from the same date, there will be reductions in the price of nBus tickets:
nBus West Midlands
From Monday 19th July 2021, the following tickets will be reduced:
Adult
- Day ticket (nBus Day) > reduced to £4.20 before 9.30am (60p cheaper)
- 1 week ticket > reduced to £15.80 (£2.60 cheaper)
- 4 week ticket > reduced to £58 (£9 cheaper)
- Direct Debit monthly subscription ticket > reduced to £52.50 (£11.50 cheaper)
18 & under
- 18 & under day ticket (nBus Day) > reduced to £2.10 (30p cheaper)
- 1 week ticket > reduced to £7.90 (£1.30 cheaper)
- 4 week ticket > reduced to £29 (£5.50 cheaper)
- Direct Debit monthly subscription ticket > reduced to £27 (£5 cheaper)
- Term Plus ticket (available mid August) > reduced to £92 (£16 cheaper)
nBus Black Country
From Monday 19th July 2021, this zone is being removed, tickets will be cheaper then you are paying now and give you complete freedom everywhere on all National Express bus routes
- 1 week ticket > reduced to £15.80 (95p cheaper) and travel everywhere
- 4 week ticket > reduced to £58 (£1 cheaper) and travel everywhere
- Direct Debit monthly subscription ticket > reduced to £52.50 (£3 cheaper) and travel everywhere
Other nBus changes
From Monday 19th July 2021, the following tickets will be reduced:
- Group ticket > reduced to £7.40 on the bus (£1 cheaper)
- West Midlands 52 week ticket > reduced to £630 (£140 cheaper)
- Black Country 52 week ticket > reduced to £630 (£5 cheaper) and travel everywhere
- West Midlands 4 week ‘AM peak’ ticket > reduced to £29 (£5.50 cheaper)
- West Midlands 52 week ‘AM peak’ ticket > reduced to £315 (£70 cheaper)
- West Midlands Direct Debit monthly subscription ‘AM peak’ ticket > reduced to £26.25 (£5.75 cheaper)

Diamond Bus have already reduced thier fares with Day Tickets Starting at just £2.70 & Weekly Tickets from £9.50
