30th March service changes – further service level reductions

NX Bus have issued new timetables for a number of services to come into effect from Monday March 30th.

Despite the new reduced timetables that came into effect yesterday, further reductions are having to be made due to a huge drop in passenger demand.

Trying to find the perfect balance between keeping bus services going in order to transport key workers, and minimising losses as best as possible, is a thankless task.

If you need to travel by bus next week, please search for your bus route at the National Express West Midlands or National Express Coventry websites and check for updated timetables valid from 30th March.

If the time your bus arrives changes and will affect the time you normally arrive at work, please consult with your employer to see if they are flexible enough to rearrange your working hours; in the current situation I would expect any reasonable employer to be able to accommodate you.

Finally in light of government advice, if you do not need to travel by bus, please avoid doing so, and allow key workers to get to and from their place of work in safety, or to allow people unable to drive to go shopping for grocery essentials.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our bus drivers for keeping us moving during these troubling times, and to thank my fellow passengers for their patience, respect and consideration for drivers and other passengers.
