Perhaps of interest to some bus users in the West Midlands looking for ideas on days out by bus, Staffordshire County Council have introduced a new multi-operator day ticket, giving people the flexibility to use any bus, any time, anywhere across the county of Staffordshire.
“The Knot” will cost £7 for unlimited all day travel on buses operated by Arriva, Diamond, First, Select, Stagecoach, Midland Classic, D&G and National Express West Midlands within the Staffordshire county area.
“Having extended our 10A service into Chasetown, Burntwood and Lichfield last summer, and with our X3 and X51 services providing more frequent journeys in Lichfield and Cannock from the end of this month, we hope that customers will take advantage of our new services by using this new ticket.

“The Knot ticket is also valid on our 54 and 54A services between Stafford and the i54 business park, connecting customers with this major site of employment and growth.”

“The Knot ticket is a new ticket that sits alongside the ‘Stoke Smart multi operator ticket’ for journeys being made within the Potteries area and our range of commercial tickets that facilitate bus travel across the First Potteries bus network.”
On First Potteries buses, the Knot ticket isn’t valid on football, event and other special services. It’s also not valid on services to Alton Towers. For exclusions on other operator’s buses, please check with them.
The Knot was launched on Monday 15th April and is available to purchase on bus now, enquire with the driver when boarding.
