Service 54 will no longer operate between i54 Business Park and Stafford. From NX West Midlands:
From Sunday 19th April 2020, there will be changes to the 54 and 54A between Stafford and Wolverhampton.
- The 54 will change to run between Wolverhampton, Pendeford Business Park and i54 only. Buses will no longer continue beyond i54 to Coven, Penkridge or Stafford.
- All journeys will run as service 54 (the 54A will no longer operate) and will also serve Pendeford Business Park.
- Buses will run up to every 30 minutes at busy times and every 60 minutes at quieter times.
The 54 runs in partnership with i54 and unfortunately the funding available to support the service beyond the i54, to Stafford, has now ended. Sadly the number of customers using the service between i54 and Stafford is insufficient for us to sustain this part of the route without funding.
Arriva’s 75 will continue to provide a regular link between Stafford and Penkridge. Select’s 878 will continue to provide a link between Wolverhampton, Coven, Penkridge and Wolverhampton.
