Service Changes in February 2024

Some bus service changes taking place during February to be aware of!

Half Term timetables

From Monday 12th to Friday 16th February, due to reduced traffic levels during the school holiday, a number of services operated by NX West Midlands in Birmingham and the Black Country will have adjusted timetables in place.

Sunday 11th February

19 – Walsall to Bloxwich

Chaserider will no longer operate this service; following award of a new TfWM contract, this service will be provided by Carolean Coaches.

There will be no change to the timetable or route and some currently suspended journeys will be reinstated as follows:

  • Monday to Friday ā€“ last buses depart from Bloxwich at 16:30 and Walsall at 16:30
  • Saturday – last buses depart from Bloxwich at 16:33 and Walsall at 16:35
  • Sunday ā€“ last buses depart from Bloxwich at 16:30 and Walsall at 16:00

Subject to levels of anti-social behaviour along the route, the full timetable will be restored on Sunday 25th February 2024 ā€“ please check this page for further updates. 

Sunday 18th February

From Sunday 18th February 2024, there will be some minor changes to the timetables of the following routes to improve reliability: 6 (Birmingham – Solihull), 50, 61/63, 72, 97, 793, X2 & X51.

Sunday 25th February

There will be changes to bus services serving the Amazon distribution centre at Peddimore, Sutton Coldfield.

67A – Birmingham to Amazon Peddimore
68 – Birmingham to Amazon Peddimore
71A – Chelmsley Wood to Sutton Coldfield

Service 67A is renumbered as 68, the 15:45 journey from Amazon is withdrawn due to low usage, there is also a slight route change in Tyburn, the service goes straight on to Kingsbury Road from Tyburn Road, stops on Chester Road will no longer be served.

Service 71A is withdrawn, and the 71 timetable will be adjusted to incorporate those journeys.

64 – Nechells to Amazon Peddimore
X64 – Birmingham to Amazon Peddimore

New services providing new links to the Amazon distribution centre from Aston, Erdington and Castle Vale.

Service 64 will operate hourly during the daytime off-peak period via Gravelly Hill, Erdington, The Fort, Bromford, Castle Vale and Minworth.

Service X64 operates during the early morning and evening peak times to/from Birmingham city centre via Aston, Gravelly Hill, Erdington, The Fort, Castle Vale and Minworth.
