Weather Alert for Tuesday 27th February – disruption possible

The following is taken from the email sent out by Network West Midlands to mailing list subscribers today and is reproduced below:

Travel Advice – Tuesday 27 February

Tuesday 27 February will see snow showers across the West Midlands area.

The Met Office has issued severe weather warnings.

Between 4am and 11am an Amber Warning is in place for parts of Birmingham, Coventry and Solihull with the possibility of 5-10cm of snow.

Between 1am and 11pm a Yellow Warning is in place for the whole West Midlands including Wolverhampton, Dudley, Sandwell and Walsall with the possibility of 0-2cm of snow.

Very low temperatures and strong winds may cause additional issues.

We advise to check before you travel tomorrow morning and allow extra time for all journeys.

Check the roads before you travel with Highways England or AA traffic.

We will be gritting all Park and Ride Sites and bus stations however please take extra care at these locations in case slippery surfaces reform.
