Service 20 extends to Nuneaton from Monday 27th January 2020

National Express Coventry have announced they will be extending their service 20 from Bedworth to Nuneaton, starting Monday 27th January 2020.

According to an announcement, the extended service provides additional links between “a fast growing town, and one of the fastest growing cities in the UK”.

Service 20 will operate to Nuneaton up to every 20 mins Monday to Saturday daytimes, while there will continue to be journeys between Coventry and Bedworth every 10 mins. Sunday service continues to operate between Coventry and Bedworth as at present.

There are no changes to the variant services 20A, 20B and 20C, which will continue to serve Walsgrave and University Hospital.

It will be interesting to see how competing operator Stagecoach Midlands responds to this move, as they currently provide a service to Nuneaton from Coventry, but with higher fares. NX Coventry boast that their regular Coventry area fares will apply, with a single journey costing £2.20 and a day-ticket at £4.00.
